日本三大名陶之一-美濃燒，位於岐阜縣，自古以來擁有豐富製陶粘土，所燒製的陶瓷稱為「美濃燒」。在平安時代中期由醍醐天皇下令編篡的《延喜式》裡，有「定美濃國為陶器調貢之國」的紀載，可知美濃燒陶器已有悠久歷史。現在全日本市場有 60% 以上陶瓷食器來自美濃燒。

粉引陶盤簡單質樸，令人著迷，不管在洋食或和食、中式料理的運用上，都讓人覺得無違和感。

「粉引」這名稱的由來是看上去有像吹了一層粉在表面，指的是紅陶土為基底，施了一層白色化妝土在上，粉引器物的手感厚實，外層塗上透明釉燒製而成，帶有像麻棉般的樸素淡雅的氣質，給人一種圓潤溫暖的感覺。
